Tools That Could Help
Basic Tools
Some drug stores carry these and most health food stores keep them in stock. Just don’t let them sell you other “alkalizing” products when they see you picking up pH testing strips. There is a LOT of bad information out there about pHs, so don’t waste your time on that frontier like I did. You can learn the truth about pHs in any of my books. A package or roll of pH strips will usually run between $12-18. We do recommend avoiding the brands that have two different colored boxes on them. They just seem to confuse people and often show conflicting information.
Blood Pressure Cuff
This is a pretty important tool if you’re experiencing digestive issues or cravings, and one I would recommend buying. The money you spend will be well worth having the ability to monitor your progress. You can get a good one for under $50. Many of you won’t know if you’re on the right track without one. I like the push-button style that does all the work for you and has a cuff that is easy to put on yourself. It usually does not matter which one you get, as long as you have a way to see if you’re improving or if you need to make adjustments. You can also buy the arm wrap in different sizes if needed. The wrist types are okay too, but generally not as accurate and seem to run a little low on the reading. Many drug stores also have those big sit-down machines that allow you to check your blood pressure while you’re in the store. These are suitable if a blood pressure cuff is not in your budget, but it sure is nice to be able to check your blood pressure at home when you need to.
Any blood pressure cuff is fine. Here is an example of one we have seen work well at a low price:
Omron 5 Series Upper Arm Blood Pressure Monitor with Wide-Range Cuff $40.88

You can also use a common digital kitchen timer or anything with a second hand, or I am also pretty sure there is an app for that.
Slightly More Advanced Tools
Glucometer
This is a great tool to own and every household in the country should have one. The glucometer is sold separately from the glucometer testing strips because the strips expire, whereas the glucometer does not. You can find a glucometer pretty cheap these days, but the strips can cost around $50 for a pack of 50. If you have friends who are diabetic, ask them if you can use their glucometer one morning before you eat anything.
Any glucometer is fine, but if you plan to get a new one, we like this one. Don’t forget to also get test strips since they are always sold separately.
Buy on Amazon – Bayer Ascensia Breeze 2 Blood Glucose Monitoring System – $22.79
11- Parameter Urine Dipsticks – Cybow 11-Parameter Urinalysis Dipsticks – $18.90
These are not a requirement, but can be very helpful when determining some digestive issues, as well as a few other important parameters we teach in the course.
