OK, you fall down some stairs and hit your knee and it bruises up, fair enough, but bruises out of nowhere? That’s just uncalled for! What gives? And what’s with the being achy and in pain all the time? If you’re an M.M.A. fighter and bruises, pain and inflammation are just part of the job then you’ll have to learn to deal with it, but if you’re dealing with these kind of symptoms that seem to just come out of nowhere then chances are there are some things out of balance in your body chemistry. Simply just taking pain medications may quell some of the symptoms, but doesn’t address the underlying imbalances and certainly doesn’t fix the bruising. On top of that, long term use of pain medications can come with some seriously undesirable side effects. Listen in as Tony, Will and Kinna take a closer look at the body chemistry imbalances that may be contributing to symptoms like bruising and inflammation. We’ll also talk more about pain medications and their impact on the liver.
Things you’ll learn in this episode:
- How bruising can be an indication of a catabolic imbalance.
- The connection between effective digestion, protein metabolism and healthy body tissue.
- How pain medications (and most medications) are designed to overwhelm your liver’s filter capacity and how that can impact your health long term.
